Oh my god you’re a Torchwood fan! Fantastic! And lucky Americans getting it a week earlier than us Brits.
Aaaanyway – what do I like about this picture? All of it – parrticularly the Hipster Weevil.
I don’t have the STARZ channel, so I don’t know when I’ll get to see Miracle Day. I used to have a way of acquiring TV shows and movies from the internets, but our cable provider advised me not to do that anymore. So now I have to WAIT.
I’ve loved Torchwood from the beginning. I miss the old team, the headquarters, the pterodactyl. Did they ever close that rift? I’m going to try and get my girlfriend to re-watch the series with me- she’s only seen Children of Earth.
I miss the old team too. I even miss Suzie Costello despite her only being in 2 episodes. In fact, I miss the Weevils since they weren’t in Children of Earth. The pterodactyl was killed in Children of Earth when the Hub was destroyed.
The rift is still open because the Doctor still uses it to recharge the TARDIS according to Steven Moffat & Russel T Davies.
And it seems wrong that you, living in America, can’t watch Miracle Day, yet I have already seen the first episode twice and I live in England.
Most Starz content is available for streaming on Netflix through the StarzPlay agreement. They’ve got the “Camelot” series and “Party Down”. They have old “Torchwood” episodes up through “Children of Earth”. I wouldn’t be surprised to see “Miracle Day” episodes become available within a few weeks.
My wife and I tried “cord cutting” and went 100% IPTV via Netflix/Hulu/Amazon. But with everything coming up this summer, we just couldn’t go without “True Blood” and the final season of “Entourage”, we couldn’t wait up to 30 days to watch our favorite basic cable and network series, some only on our PCs… we finally broke down and got cable again after about 6 months.
If you lived in our area, I’d invite you over for “Torchwood” and bacon vodka screwdrivers, but I believe you’re East Coast, not Seattle.
My girlfriend and I would SO come over, but yeah, we’re in boring old NYC. Thanks though!
I couldn’t enjoy the drinks- I don’t really drink alcohol, AND I’m a vegetarian!
My girlfriend could, but she might opt out of the bacon- not because she’s vegetarian (she’s not), or Jewish (she is), but because she’s trying to stick to pasture-raised pork these days, as you can read on her blog.
Really though, we’re more fun than we sound
I’m loving True Blood btw.

Yeah, the question is how many weeks. And how will I survive until then!?!?!?!?!
